emMAT is one of the modules within EDOPS Document Office’s complex warehouse management information system.
Companies that have their own warehouse of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products often have the problem of following all the business processes as well as the documentation that accompanies them. Executives are required to make decisions based on the facts, where an additional problem of insufficient information arises that diminishes the quality of the particular decision made. Receiving and storing goods in a warehouse
Acceptance of goods in the warehouse is done by sending orders for the receipt, through the program, to the persons responsible for receiving the goods electronically. When the goods are brought into the warehouse, a purchase order is automatically generated, thereby identifying any non-compliance. If there is any discrepancy, if more or fewer goods have arrived than the one ordered, those goods can be managed by returning them to the supplier or by placing them in a certain position in the warehouse and later monitoring their posting.
Stock status
The software solution gives us the ability to accurately track the stock status and always have accurate, real-time data. With the help of bar code technology that is used internally (only for the needs of, for example, one warehouse and easier retrieval and management of data), there is an additional possibility of managing all raw materials, as well as semi-finished products and finished products in terms of better organization and utilization of them.
Shipping goods
Since the business program enables the good organization of goods by location, the shipment of goods is faster because it is known exactly where the goods are located. The exact location of the goods is determined by a search in the program, which automatically provides all the information about the goods.
Managing damaged goods
All goods that are damaged or represent surpluses from production or order that have not been returned and can be used for further production or for other purposes are generally stored at different locations in the warehouse. This can lead to underutilization of inventories and consequently to indirect losses and reduced profits.
Goods list
The list of goods is obligatory under the Law at least once a year. Then chaos usually ensues if the warehouse is large and has thousands of items. A software solution such as emMAT saves time when crawling. Practically, a person scans a bar code for a specific item and enters the number of that item. This data is automatically sent to the database and a comparison is made with their status in the database. In this way, the list becomes a routine operation and without disruption of business, it can be done more often.
Inter-store business
Inter-store business means business between multiple warehouses of one company in different locations in a way that all access the same system with the same database. The emMAT module, within the information system of the EDOPS Document Office, can be used in many countries around the world in the languages used in that wish, that is, it is possible to translate the program into any language.
